Guitar players are very particular. This much we know at Fluid Audio. And after we launched the original Strum Buddy, it wasn’t long before our customers were asking for a version that better represented their favorite type of music: METAL! They basically wanted a harder-edged version! Building on the success of our Strum Buddy guitar monitor, we now introduce the Heavy Metal edition. Using the same basic design as the original (same speaker, amplifier, rechargeable battery and suction cup), we have tweaked the EQ and the effects to represent a heavier…”Metallier” sound. The Metal Edition also has a Chrome colored speaker grille, differentiating it in look as well from the original. Where the original Strum Buddy used a Crunch distortion sound (more reminiscent of the ‘60s or ‘70s rock guitar) the Metal Edition has an over-saturated Overdrive sound – which is more like the Grunge and Metal sounds of the 2000’s. Where the original has a Chorus setting, the Metal Edition has a Phaser effect, which used in tandem with the distortion, creates a classic solo guitar sound. The Reverb is the same great Reverb found on the Strum Buddy. Whether you’re at home or on the road, either Strum Buddy makes a great practice/rehearsal tool when you’re away from your main, stage rig.

The  Strum Buddy was born out of the desire for convenience and portability (..two things guitar players greatly appreciate).  All guitarists like to sit and noodle around on their guitars.  It’s relaxing and a great way to expand your abilities.  However, when your sitting on your couch, it’s not so easy to bring your amplifier over, plug it in, get the sounds you want, etc.  Plus, you’re always tethered to your amp by our guitar cord.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a small amp you could stick to your guitar and play with no cord?

Mounting to your guitar using a rubber suction cup, the  Strum Buddy is a 6W guitar amplifier, powered by an internal rechargeable battery.  It not only lets you hear and monitor your electric guitar, but allows you to play through the onboard guitar effect sounds, such as distortion, chorus and reverb.
