The body of these Primero cajons is constructed using MDF, Medium-density Fiberboard which creates a solid and durable sound chamber. This model features figured Cherry faceplate. The Figured Cherry Cajon features a stunning figured Cherry faceplate. Cherry is a fine grained hardwood with darker wavy streaks. Because of its hardness, tonally cherry is a close match to maple and when used on a cajon provides more bottom-end. A built in bass port magnifies the massive low-end tone of the cajon while two sets of fixed snare wires provide a bright, crisp snare response. The feature and look of this Primero cajons is as distinctive as the percussionist who play them.
