This course aims to provide the simplest and most effective introduction to piano playing Pan One focuses on building fluency in reading notes, a challenge that often discourages new students. To help, the "Work Sheet" complements the "Reading Around" exercises, offering a steady flow of drills designed for young learners.
SCOPE
In Part One, only a small range of notes, from middle C upward and downward, is introduced to ensure mastery before moving ahead. The material is intentionally limited so that students can confidently move forward without confusion. Supplementary exercises like Writing Drills, Sight Reading Drills, Review Work, and Technical Studies are added later to strengthen these basics.
ACCOMPANIMENTS
Accompaniments provided for teachers or parents are simple and easy to follow. These are created to give early learners a taste of musical structure without overwhelming them with complexity. Even basic accompaniments can introduce rhythm, dynamics, and a stronger sense of musicality from the very beginning.
GRADING
The books included in this course do not claim to represent any specific certification or exam level. The lessons build naturally from Part One to Part Three. Progress is based on how easily and confidently a student can perform the material. Teachers are encouraged to guide students at a pace suited to their individual learning needs rather than pushing them through content quickly.
PART-TWO
The second part continues with the same deliberate and careful pacing. New notes, time signatures, and rudiments are introduced gradually. Technical skills are developed through simple, engaging pieces that highlight rhythm and musicality. The goal is to help students play naturally and musically, without the pressure of "speed learning."
